Romiromi is a traditional Māori healing practice that works holistically with the body, mind and spirit. It is more than massage, it is a form of bodywork that supports release, realignment, and restoration on physical, emotional, and energetic levels.
My approach to Romiromi is guided by presence, technique, intuition, and respect for the body’s own wisdom. Sessions are held within traditional protocols, including Kaupare (protective incantation), Tai Wāi (sea water cleanse), and the use of Pounamu, to support safety, grounding, and energetic clarity throughout the work.
Romiromi uses hands-on massage, forearm and elbow pressure on haemata points, and a mix of gentle and deeper stretches. The work follows the body’s natural rhythms of breath and response, inviting it to soften, unwind tension, and move back toward balance. Nothing is forced. The body is listened to, allowing the nervous system to release in its own time.
These sessions can feel grounding, spacious, and deeply restorative. They are especially supportive during times of stress or transition, emotional processing, or when the body is asking to slow down and be heard. They can also support those wishing to work with inherited and ancestral trauma held in the body.

Deep Tissue massage is a focused, therapeutic treatment designed to work with chronic tension, muscular restriction, and physical imbalance.
This modality uses slow, deliberate pressure to access deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue, supporting the release of long-held tightness and restoring functional movement. Sessions are guided by clear communication, ensuring the work is effective while remaining respectful of your body’s limits.
While the pressure can be firm, the intention is never to force. I work progressively, allowing the tissue to soften and respond, rather than pushing through resistance. This approach supports sustainable relief and reduces the likelihood of post-treatment soreness.
Deep Tissue massage is especially supportive for those with physically demanding work, repetitive strain, injury recovery, or ongoing muscular discomfort.
Relaxation Massage
